My design process is similar to how I organize anything in my house: gather all the pieces, make a bit of a mess, and then put it all back together in a way that makes more sense.
After digesting the scope of a project, I find inspiration from all over: books, art stores, a card game, or just getting outside. Sometimes a good ol’ whiteboard with a team does the trick. Or sometimes it’s a Pinterest board or a virtual whiteboard.
Sketches and scribbles, wireframes and messy Illustrator artboards get me closer to the final product. With the audience and user in mind every step of the way, which sometimes means going back to the start and making changes.
And then there is a lot of tea to get me through.
A. LOT. OF. TEA.
